Meet the HLTA Team

Bill Davies
HLTA Project Manager (London Region)

Twenty years experience as a senior leader in schools. Held senior positions in local authorities in London as a school improvement officer, workforce development and leadership consultant. Established and led a successful education consultancy business before joining VT Four S in 2006 as a senior education and workforce consultant.

Ian Hollingsworth
HLTA Project Manager (South East Region)

Twenty years experience as headteacher of middle and junior schools. Three years Initial Teacher Training experience with St.Mary’s University. Three years Workforce Development Consultancy in Surrey and HLTA Project Management across the SE. National HLTA Moderator.

Mandy Bowler
HLTA Project Manager (Assessment and Training)
Deputy Project Manager (South East Region)

Primary teacher for fourteen years and ten at senior management level with additional experience in coordinating science and as SENCO for one of Surrey's largest junior schools. Post-teaching experience as SEN consultant delivering training and consultancy across all phases of education. Currently chief HLTA assessor and lead trainer across London and the SE regions.

Jimmy Heslop
Assessments Contracts Project Co-ordinator
HLTA Senior Administrator

Leads a highly motivated, professional operations team supporting all HLTA activities in London and the South East, as well as AST and ET assessments across the country. Has been involved with the HLTA project since the first Phase 1 assessments in 2004.

Appeals Process

In the unlikely event that a candidate is unhappy about the final outcome of their assessment, there is an appeals process that is clearly followed. In the first instance, we recommend contacting the VT Four S HLTA team direct. However, the appeals process is available on request.
